[edit] What is Vengeful
First and foremost by definition Vengeful is like its definition Vengeful but in other words Vengeful is a business organization whose primary goals are to make a positive difference in the areas of industry that it works within. The name Vengeful it's definition meaning; Desiring Vengeance, vindicitive, or indicating or proceeding from a desire for revenge, does not reflect entirely upon the organizations methods, but more upon a deep rooted philosophy to make a difference in the face of what is is not right.
[edit] History
Vengeful Enterprises began in the year 2000 initially as Vengeful Games purely a name chosen for it's play on words, and of course internet domain availability amongst a number of other reasons which are lost to time at this point. Started by the current owner/proprietier Bryan Stevenson, the original intent was to begin making computer games, but soon branched out into other areas such as Web Development and graphic design. As this transition came into being the organization was re-structured to form Vengeful Enterprises and that in turn sub-divided into Three subdivisions. Vengeful Software, Vengeful Games, and Vengeful Design. The company is still going through an initial startup phase in attempts to offer the public use of it's products and services and begin building brand Recognition.
[edit] Mission
To become a well respected company in the software development and design industry, as well as a leading innovator of electronic entertainment software technology and games.
[edit] Philosophy
- 1. If it can be done, it can be done better.
- It is a plain and simple truth, and one that we strive to achieve every day. Not only to walk the path that many before us have, but also to see what lies beyond leaving a path behind for others to follow. It's not all about being the leader, but setting an example and inspiring those around you to do better by default.
- 2. Seek out what is wrong and make it right.
- In other-words (Be Vengeful), not in the way of taking revenge for something that someone has done to you, but to identify problems, and find solutions to them that work. This also means to listening to those around us and their problems and making those problems our own in an effort to make the world a better place.
- 3. If you don't like it, then no one else will either.
- People are their own worse critics, or so it seems, one might feel surprised that there are a lot of people whom agree with their self-criticism and have additional criticisms to add to the list. So if you don't like what you are doing or you do not like what you see, then stop. Take a few steps back, try to realize what it is that is unsatisfactory and then see what can be done to rectify the situation. Bring in your peers, your enemies, whomever it takes to make something that you yourself can be proud of. If you like it, chances are there is someone else out there who will as well.
- 4. Bad Ideas are the unspoken ones.
- Alright there are bad ideas, out there, however none are worse than those that are kept to oneself. This is due to that even from bad ideas, other ideas can spring forth and then become good or even great ideas. A good example was that not so long ago, people thought it was a bad idea to go sailing off into the vast ocean because you would fall off the edge of the world. Which now we know is quite preposterous, but at least a few thought it was a good idea, and took that risk and were eventually rewarded for it.
- 5. The Long way is not always the wrong way.
- Certainly there may be shortcuts and quick routes to a destination that may seem optimal, however sometimes taking the longer route may be the better choice. For on the longer route you may get to see and experience things that you would never have known to exist otherwise if you'd taken a shortcut. Be prudent and don't cheat yourself or others of something that could be beneficial by just taking that extra time to look around and discover something new or unseen.
- 6. Be Prepared.
- If something can happen then chances are that it will, and if you're ready for it then, be it good or bad, it won't as overwhelming. Although we cannot realistically be prepared for everything, but if we are at least willing to take on each of life's challenges as they come at us, then we can say we are doing our best.
- "Chance Favors only the prepared minds" --Louis Pasteur
- 7. Find your own way.
- It is nice and easy to follow the crowd, to do the things they do, and to just get by on the bare minimum going unnoticed. However one cannot really grow to their full potential by always following in the footsteps of their peers or mentors. Take something, make it yours and run with it, seek to out-pace the field, and take things to the next level. In other words copying another persons work is a good way to learn things, but from that you should seek to expand on that work in new and original ways from what you've previously learned.
- 8. Give as much as you take.
- Always remember those out there whom help to get you where you are, and never forget to acknowledge them, for they are you foundation, and your strength. Without the people that make up the organization and the community which surrounds it, there is no reason for it to exist. Supporting and nurturing these elements is crucial to the continued symbiotic relationship and in allowing both to grow in size and scope. (Without deep roots, the slightest breeze will knock over the tree.)
