Super-merchants are large special purpose vessels found to be within the 380 meters to 500 meters or more in length.

When even heavy merchants won't fill the need of getting goods, materials, and equipment from once place to another, enter the Super-Merchant. Often carrying it's own mini fleet of lifters or even a smaller merchant vessel or two, super-merchants are a very cost effective way of getting large quantities of almost anything to where it is needed in a short period of time. Often this classification of vessel requires some sort of orbital facilities for the loading and unloading of cargo/materials, but most can facilitate this process at a reduced(more costly) rate. Although only very lightly armored and armed, it is also typical for these vessels to carry their own defensive ships, as a deterrent to most would be attackers, highly valued shipments may be accompanied by larger escorts.
