Stations are moderate to large constructs ranging from 600 meters to 10000 meters in diameter, however it is not uncommon for stations to be much larger.

A Stations purpose is as varied as the shapes and sizes which they come in, typically doubling as places of work and habitation, and quite often self sustaining environments. Although a station might be capable of movement under its own power, typically they are stationary (as the name suggests), and are likely to be found in orbit around or near a stellar body. Armaments on stations range from none to very heavy weapons, yet typically most stations have moderate defensive weaponry and rely upon their own security vessels and friendly fleets for protection. As previously stated it is rare that station has the ability to travel interstellar distances or even interplanetary distances although if the need arises such things may be possible given adequate means.
