Definition
A starship is a craft designed primarily for interstellar travel. Space-faring vessels not designed or capable of interstellar travel are commonly referred to as spaceships or spacecraft.
Although technically any craft capable of interstellar travel could be designated a starship, for the purpose of these documents, there are both upper and lower bounds as to what fits the classification of a starship. Examples of which would be Sub-macroscopic craft, and extremely large craft rivaling the size of a planetoid or planetesimal or greater, which would be more appropriately named as world-ships.
Other items such as Space-stations, artificial-planets/planetoids, weapons, support-craft, mega-scale orbital structures, etc... although being able to move under their own power and cross interstellar distances are not commonly referred to as a starship either.
