Shuttles Are smaller vehicles meant for carrying small to moderate sized groups of individuals or light payloads. Their size is usually in the range of 8 meters to 18 meters, but could be larger or smaller depending upon their configuration or purpose.

Designed primarily for inter-planetary flight, shuttles rarely fitted with interstellar capable drive systems, and many times are relegated to the role of a support craft for moving people and supplies to and from larger craft and stations. Generally shuttles are unarmed although they may possess defensive measures in certain configurations, and although capable being outfitted for long endurance missions are generally reliant upon larger craft and stations for support.
