Orbital Constructs are mega-structures as small as 1000 kilometers to well over a 20 million kilometers in diameter.

The most common configuration of these structures is a loop or a ring, and although not quite to the scale of Stellar constructs such as ringworlds and dyson spheres, they are quite massive in their own right. Often built in orbit of a star within the habitable zone, these massive habitats are capable of providing living space for hundreds of billions of individuals comfortably. Providing many times the surface area of a typical terrestrial planet, they are a efficient utilization of space. Most civilizations do not have the technical capability or the logistical might to build such mega-structures, but those that do often have the means and the need for such structures.
