Monitor are a specialized warship usually within the 170 to 210 meter range, although there may be variants of larger or smaller design.

Often forgoing interstellar capability, these vessels favor heavy armor and armament, for the role that they are designed for which is Planetary system control and defense. Working alone or in small groups Monitors are often placed within valued volumes of space as an effective deterrent to any unwelcome intruders. Heavily Armed with battleship-class weaponry, monitors with their high maneuverability and often trans-atmospheric capabilities are quite a threat to any vessel.
