Lifters are special purpose craft which are on average 30 meters to 40 meters in size, although there may be larger variants constructed for special purposes.

Lifters generally serve only one purpose, and that is to move materials, goods, and cargo to and from merchant vessels. Designed for short range missions, lifters aren't typically capable of interstellar or interplanetary flight. Usually outfitted for operations well within gravitational wells and planetary atmospheres, lifters are capable of performing a variety of tasks. Despite designs where lifters are piloted by organics, most variants found are completely autonomous drones, or remotely controlled somehow. These crafter are almost never armed in any fashion.
