Leviathans as the name suggests are unusually large ships ranging from 1200 meters to 8000 meters or more.

Immense is the only word to describe leviathans, these warships are sometimes classified as doomsday weapons and rightfully so. Often designed around the principle of being so massive that a fleet of smaller vessels cannot easily confront a leviathan due to attrition alone, and the almost guaranteed losses without successfully destroying or even crippling the leviathan. Fielding super-weapons usually deriving their power from exotic energy sources or the exponentiation of more conventional sources, the main purpose of these ships is often the destruction or assault of fortified emplacements within or on stellar bodies. Coupled with more conventional armaments, ultra-heavy armor and multiply redundant systems, these vessels are beyond self sufficient and can operate well beyond any support or supply system. These vessels are highly capable of crossing pan galactic distances, even venturing into the realm of extra-galactic or trans-galactic excursions as well.
