Frigates are smaller warships ranging from 130 meters to 160 meters in size, although this can vary greatly within this classification depending upon the vessels configuration and role.

Perhaps one of the more heavily utilized classifications of ships, due to their size and cost effectiveness. Frigates are utilized for many roles within fleet operations from escort duties to patrol missions and even raids on enemy supply channels and other supporting missions. More heavily armed and armored than Corvettes, they also have a small hangar bay for smaller support craft, and can carry more supplies for longer missions. While not quite as powerful as a ship of the line, Frigates make up for what they may lack in firepower in numbers.
