Battle-cruisers are a specialized classification of warship found to be between 180 to 240 meters in length.

These vessels are typically more heavily armed and armored versions of their Cruiser cousins, yet less so than battleships. Similar in configuration and function as battleships their weaponry is of lighter design, and they forgo armor for agility and speed. Serving a similar role as regular cruisers these vessels are typically placed in offensive roles acting as hunter/killers against lesser warships and merchant vessels, or harassing ships of similar or greater caliber. Designed for long-range interstellar missions, and nearly self sufficient in most respects, battle-cruisers are valuable assets to any fleet.
